Indianapolis Scrapyard?

Anybody live in the Indianapolis area? My brother lives there and says all of the scrapyards are crooks.

Anybody know where I can send him to get a good price and an honest scale?

I live in Indy and Omnisource on 25th st. is where I've been going. I feel like I got ripped off on some copper but I had some brass mixed in so I just got the brass price. I'm not sure about their scales as I don't have a reliable way to weigh heavy stuff. I'm getting ready to unload some more so if anyone has ideas on better yards in the Indy area please post.

Oh, and by the way, don't go to Omnisource on a Friday unless you really need your weekend booze and/or drug money. That's when all of the regulars are there and I would recommend packing.

I'm not a scrapper, but OmniSource is up here in Northern Indiana also in a town I live near...and I have heard some "I got ripped off" stories about them from some trustworthy sources.

The omni down here is great. They pay the top prices of anyone in the area.
