I don't understand how this solves anything. It is the same concept of putting fantastic monetary value on something not so fantastic that we use for the paper in an FRN.
FRNs are little slips of toilet paper given a monetary value that our government says is equal in worth to a Dollar as described in our Constitution. Real dollars are 90% pure silver and have an intrinsic value to them.
A platinum coin also has intrinsic value, but not a trillion dollars worth.
It's just another way the wonks in DC are robbing us blind.
We are in the process of destroying our currency in a century what took the Romans almost half a millennium to do.
