Though I find his first two criteria a little silly...frost and rainfall? I wouldn't want to be here in southern New England due to the population concern, but anywhere near the Great Lakes works for me. Northern New England is ok, too. Plenty of freshwater lakes and streams. So it's chilly a few months each year...good for keeping out the riff-raff.
