As far as I saw, the only reason this went this high is people are dumb.
those that sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither
the bee...gathers it's materials from the flowers of the garden and of the field, but transforms and digests it by a power of it's own.

Jerk seller calls them Silver dollars in title, then cupro nickel in the description. Proves most Americans don't look past the headline.
Six unique bidders at that
From hence ye beauties undeceived, know one false step is ne'er retrieved
and be with caution bold.
Not all that tempts your wandering eyes and heedless hearts is lawful prize,
nor all that glistens gold.

If any of you folks are disapointed becuase you missed this deal I have great news.
I just happen to have some that I'll sell at the bargain price of $5 each. Just let me know how many you want.
Of course, this is just for my buddies here. For strangers they are $6 each.
If you are waiting for the "correction" to buy you need to realize that the increasing prices ARE the correction.
$100 Silver soon coming to a location near you.

What worse is the folks who placed a bid of $6 on the auctions is what they felt a silver Ike was worth.
Or more importantly their 'greed factor' of $6. Because these folks thought they had 'secret' insider trading factor that they were silver they felt $6 was a fair price. Assume an old lady with silver Ikes at a garage sale- coin collectors would offer 10-20% under spot when asked a 'fair' price, while these people would offer $6.
So although the auction is clearly an attempt to mislead- the bidders are to blame as well to a degree

I don't know. I refer to Ikes as "silver dollars" when talking to people not on RC. That's kinda just what they're called, even if they're not actually silver. If the description was honest I don't have a problem with it.
267,500 pennies and 186,000 nickels searched. Hand sorter.

yea I sell those on Amazon. $0.99 and $4.95 shipping. No I don't ask why. I just let it happen.
It's like selling $25 boxes of pennies on ebay for $48. Don't ask or it might stop working.

Yeah, growing up ( I was born in '77) we always just called any dollar coins "silver dollars."
