Tactical Knives - Boot/Neck

What SHTF Knives do you own?

I'm shopping for a boot knife and have been looking at a few of the "grivory" knives. Has anyone got any experience with them? Any disadvantages that you're aware of? I'm looking at this inexpensive model:

But also looking at this stainless model:

Well, I figured that the Finns, Swedes, and Norwegians had to know a bit about hard times, so I went with a type of knife they have used for hundreds of years, maybe a thousand years: the Puukko :

The one I have is a lot like the #840, but I seem to recall it had a different model number.

People are far more likely to need to gut a fish than a mugger and it's easier to gut a mugger with a fish knife than gut a fish with a double edge dagger.

Daggers tend to get the prunebrains all excited, a simple camping knife is less so.

Note the classic, wood handled knives, and the prices on them.

You know, I'd really be careful of that merchant. "Cold Steel" knives for that little? Not real likely.

A plastic knife is just that, a plastic knife. Get the best you can afford. If you have to save another few weeks, then do it. Always try to buy the best out there, that way you will always be happy with it.

Try to buy American made. Check out some pawn shops. Gun shows also have knife dealers. Shop, compare, save, buy!

+1
If I have the gift of prophesy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to move mountains but do not have love I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned but do not have love it profits me nothing.
