Can someone throw me a bone...

Postby mtldealer » Wed Jan 09, 2013 4:42 am

It's really late and I can't keep my eyes open to research which is the best company to sell my 40% Kennedy Halfs. Normally I would list them here but I am looking to swap it into either 90% or better. I figure... Sell them. Get check. Buy. deduct from check. Hopefully I'm happy. Apmex, Gainesville who else would you guys go with. I have 500$ in 40% Halfs or 1000 coins. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Check out Goldmart's buy price...if for no other reason than to get a better price out of APMEX. Since the big guys seem low on stock, you may be able to get them to work with you on pricing.

I had a crappy experience with Goldmart's customer service earlier this year (shortly after their move from CA to NV), but hopefully they've gotten their ducks in a row since then. Everything eventually worked out, but they did cause me some grief before I finally got paid. At the time, they did a terrible job of answering the phone and returning calls. I'm not sure if that's still the case, but if so, skip the little guys and talk with Nick. He's also bad about answering the phone, but at least he's at the top of the food chain.

I haven't ever sold to Goldmart but I can tell you I'm not impressed as a buyer. I purchased 7 tubes of 2012 ASE's on 12-22 and I still haven't received them yet. They won't answer the emails I've sent and after you finally get through on the phone all they have are excuses. They keep telling me they will ship by the end of this week, guess we will see. This was my first transaction with them and most likely will be my last...

Tmat's prices are always nearly at or a bit above APMEX's buy prices, varies from week to week depending on their need to replenish inventory. I send to both of them. Tmat pays alot faster

Another vote for TMat. I've sold him both 90% & 40%. I've also sent 2 friends to him with full $500 FV boxes of 40% - you'll never hear a complaint about Tony.
