http://cgi.ebay.com/100-PEACE-SILVER-DO ... 35aed719c7Would love your feedback on this one boys and girls.
I've already reported to ebay. Not only location but a sudden appearance on the last 5 feedbacks. All from Canada buyers who magically all received their coins in less than a day from auction closing all the way from Singapore.

Thanks guys. I think in a tight knit group like this we have to band together to protect each other from the bad deals and help share the good deals as much as we can.

Wow....get this. Anyone who saw the original ebay ad. Look at this. Someone has already relisted the same exact auction under a different user ID.
http://cgi.ebay.com/100-PEACE-SILVER-DO ... 19c1ef2098appears to be a real problem on ebayI read overseas there is a major problem with fake Morgans and Peace dollars. Probably anything else worth value in the coin world.

100 Peace dollars for $249.00 that is a heck of a buy that is only $2.49 a piece. I don't see any location in the listing. You would think even though they are counterfeit they would ask more for them than that. It must cost quite a bit to get counterfeit coins made.

I'm not sure what the conditions are on overseas paypal transactions - in terms of buyer protection - however the fake positive feedbacks all from Canadian user names and stating super fast shipping, etc. Within one day of auction closing was my first clue after the price of course that this was a major scam. I'll let a few others view the link and then I'll report this one as well to ebay.

The "scam" would be a whole lot less obvious if they were say 8-10 a piece. that price makes them stick out like a sore thumb.

I agree if they were asking $1499.00 or $1599.00 for the lot it would make it look a lot more legit. If your running a scam wouldn't you try to screw people out of as much money as you can?

I just reported it. Lower right hand side of the auction. Yea I just noticed 12 auctions sold today. I suppose some people just want to believe they can get over 2000 worth of peace dollars for 250.00. One person bought 4 lots. If only it were that easy.

I sent the guy a message (pretending to be a potential buyer).
ME: How are you selling each of these peace dollars for 2.50 if they cost over 20 dollars a peice? I am interested in buying, I'm just worried they might be counterfeit.
HIM: The project is guaranteed to be authentic! Please rest assured to buy! Merry Christmas!
ME: Who guaranteed them to be authentic? Sorry for the questions, just want to be sure before i buy.
HIM: awaiting answer.

appjoe,
It appears the true seller - the one selling with a few thousand feed backs and the 2500.00 price had his listing simply copied by the dude in singapore. They stole the pics and about 90% of the auction text. Very sneaky.

Yes it does look like that. I wouldn't buy anything from china. They copy everything.

The PROJECT is some dude at a drafting table trying to get the eagle just right.
This kind of thing just makes me sick.

The worst part is someone here in the states that doesn't know any better or wants to make a quick buck will buy them and start selling them and if the quality is real good then we will have alot of counterfits floating around. Someone posted a video here showing just how good the counterfits are. They can even fool the experts.
