I came across this while sorting a bag of pennies (by hand).

The chunk of metal filling the bottom of the "8" is what caught my eye, but Uthminsta pointed out that it may also be a weak strike.

Are there any thoughts on what I might call this?

Cool cent.

Looks like the internal "knob" of the lower 8 loop broke off the die.

What would I call it: Fat bottom Eight. :)

Do you see the front of his suit, his neck, and the "Y" in Liberty are all weak too? Is that a side effect of the fat bottom getting in the way? :)
