I just received two 2011 British 50 pence. Not seeing one of the two designs listed here, I looked it up... and read that there are actually 29 different commemorative designs of the 50p this year. Yikes. Anyway, I have CANOEING (which shows a man with an oar in a canoe) and AQUATICS (picturing female swimming).
It should be clear that these coins actually came from a RealCent member (Devil Soundwave), who lives in the UK had them on JANUARY 2ND! If he chooses to participate in this contest, let it be known that he wins "first find" status on these!

This is also the earliest I've found current year coins in circulation in a long time. Usually I have to wait until March-May before seeing new year coins in the wild.

Looks like Franklin is going to win this year. I do have one prior claim though. I got the 2011-D Johnson dollars at noon on the first day of release.. the 17th. I almost got them the previous day.. but she noticed the seal on it that said do not break seal until 2/17. When she asked me what the date was I foolishly told her the correct date. Maybe I should have offered to buy the whole box.. that way she wouldn't have been breaking the seal.

Just found my first 2011 coin(s) last week, searched the roll this week. It was a roll of 2011 P Gettysburg quarters. I had been trying to buy a P and a D from the coin guy that I was buying them from last year. He finally told me last week that he would not be able to get any as his cost for them from the mint was to be $.60 for each quarter. I consider myself very fortunate to have gotten one roll at face value.

Have not seen hide nor hair of any other 2011 coins down here in Central Florida. Of course, the 2010 coins are still pretty rare for me to find also.
