What is the prevailing reason for Texas's low copper percentages?

I think it has to do with the fact that everything is so big in TX! Why would they want to deal with something so minuscule as the penny?

It probably has to do with the fact that the distances are so significant between places that it is CHEAPER to ship zinc cents across the state than it is to ship copper ones.

I can just see it now on Border Wars, where a whole bunch of Mexicans are captured, not with Pot on their backs,
but thousands of dollars worth of pennies!!! :lol:
