Found this auction on eBay. Couldn't believe my eyes. Is a 5 oz. Silvertowne poured silver bar really worth $255 or is eBay auctions gone stupid crazy when it comes to overpaying for AG? I just purchased the same bar from Silvertowne with free shipping for $165.80 not so long ago. Or am I missing something.

way crazy, and the backside looks like ass on those bars. got mine awhile ago for 173 shipped and it looks nicer. might have to unload mine for a hefty profit and then buy back in. for those prices you could get 7 ozs from silvertowne

This one auction is stupid high priced, but you can't count on getting the same. Its a fluke. Look at completed sales. Those typically sell for 190-200 so after shipping & fees you really only get 165-170

A good case of out of control bidding, possibly. Yeah that would be a $89.00 profit on my side, only if I could find someone so out of touch with reality. Well, here's hoping.

Isn't this an authorized Scottsdale silver co. auction? I don't think they would employ ringers. Clearly, the online vendors have seen the secondary/tertiary market for their items get stoopid premiums on Ebay and want to get in on the action?
