Someone picked up my1k in halves

Postby Pennysaved » Wed Dec 29, 2010 9:52 pm

I have a bank that orders me about 4k of halves a week; usually in 2 orders. Monday I went in and picked up 2k but they said they had another 1k; I have other banks where I have to pick up $1500 orders the next day so I could not tie up all my money in that one bank.

I told the teller Id be bank Wednesday to pick up the other 1k.

I went in today and they said they had $1500 in halves but some guy came in that AM and bought that all $1500. I was disappointed to say the least.

A couple of weeks ago the teller told me that they never use to order halves until I started requesting them.

So, I feel like I laid the groundwork for this bank to order halves.

The sad thing is the $2k I had picked up Monday all had good boxes no skunks.

After the news, I went to another pick up bank and picked up my 1k order.

Unfortunately, they were both skunks :-(

Guess I am going to just have to take everything they have on hand when I go in. Just a hard pill to swallow right now on those missed boxes.

Dude,

Just do the right thing and just start drinkin.

The weather's lousy for the next few days anyhow. Just get stinkin drunk and it won't matter.

Join me everyone! Let's just knock back a few, draw a toast to David's good fortune in the coming year he's a good guy.

Then go to bed, there will be more to search in the morning.
If I have the gift of prophesy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to move mountains but do not have love I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned but do not have love it profits me nothing.

So i took thogey's advice, sat down with a box and a case. . . figured i'd check the late night silver prices and lo and behold - some upward action
Soooo... Is it just me or is a chart of US debt looking dangerously parabolic?

maybe someday you can return the favor - buy more boxes from the bank than you ordered - take some of their order.

Thanks Eric for the kind words :-)

Well I just have to remember there is only so much I can sort on my own; guess I have to share a little.

I think the half gods are looking down on me. I went to a Wells that cut me off from ordering and asked if they had any loose halves and they said no. She said though they had ordered a full box and it had been sitting there a while and she would give me the full box this time since she wanted to get rid of them.

Not the box of the year but I found:

a '64, 4 really nice proofs 80, 81, and two 82's
