I went by my favorite LCS and they were out of Peace and Morgan's, war nickels and only had $45 face 90% and $80 face of 40%. I bought those and I guess he is low on inventory for the weekend. I might check back tomorrow afternoon to see if he bought any more 'common silvers'. I am still buying there at slightly under coinflation melt prices.

If your lucky to buy under conflation then clean them out!
My LCS said buying pressures are for the week as well. But premiums are also on the rise so its kinda a hit or miss deal

I agree. If you can buy under coinflation posted price, I would be with both hands.

I went by my LCS (guessing local coin store) and he was mostly sold out of low end also. He charges a premium over spot.

.
I don`t think they are sold out, they just paid higher prices and can`t sell losing money.
when the price goes back up the shops will have plenty to sell.

This is usually the case. Days of significant drops my LCS will magically be out of everything.... then as soon were back into the 30's.. BOOM! Inventory is replenished!
Were not the only ones playing the game you know, they need to pay to keep their lights on.

My LCS was selling 90% at 21X when the spot was $32 now that spot is $29 he is selling at 21.5X . I find the electronic and paper prices are only loosely tied to physical prices.

Stopped by tonight and he was fully out of war nickels, 40% halves and peace/morgan dollars. I bought out the 90% he had at 20.85 times face. He did not have many numistic coins either.
I really think his inventory is very low and he is not holding back. If holding back I think he would just put like $10 face out at a time to try to keep customers coming back. He also would not have his display case almost empty as those coins have a higher profit margin. He said not many are bringing silver in and it flies out as soon as he gets it in. The last two times I have not seen anyone bring silver in. Often there are customers selling to him. A few weeks ago I saw him pay a guy $24 for Morgan's and after the guy left I bought those coins for $29 each.

I went in today and he was flooded with 90% silver. He had several hundred Morgan and Peace dollars, several hundred in 'smaller 90% face coins' and said he had much more in the safe if I wanted to look through more. He said someone brought in 'a whole lot in order to sell and pay cash for a vehicle'. I wish I would win the lottery and then I could buy more silver coins and a bigger safe deposit box!
