Congratulations. A 1928 is pretty good. I forgot long ago what the oldest in my first box was; I wish I remembered. I'm surprised you only got one Canadian, though.
267,500 pennies and 186,000 nickels searched. Hand sorter.

Welcome - you're off to a great start. Keep stacking that copper, it is a fun (and hopefully rewarding) endeavor!

Stop...please stop...please stop now! Before its too late! Its only been one box.

Look at what u stated..."its off to the bank for at least one more box, maybe two". Can't you see what its already doing to you? It cost you $4.89 this time. next time you are already talking twice that amount. Thats almost $10.

In a very short period of time, you will be spending all of your extra money on this self consuming stronghold. Soon after, you will find yourself in the grocery store. Store label itemswill make up the bulk of your purchases. (One time I was at Office Max and asked the clerk where i could find the "generic" paper clips ). The deal aisle will be the only one you go into because time spent in the other aisles could be better used making "Bank Runs".

Then, (this is where the downward spiral really begins) you will start saying to yourself "Hey, long hair isn't bad. I'll use that money for more boxes". " Holes in my jeans are stylish". You'll be at work, and your boss will politely mention that the front half of your shoe sole is flopping around like a window shade in a hurricane. Your response will be something on the line of "Oh yeah, I was gonna tape it back. But, i used all of my tape sealing up a CTU last night to send out to a guy named Ray on my way home this afternoon. He's been a member longer than me and I'm pretty sure I gotta ship first. I'm still thinking I can get another week or two out of these Buster Browns, even without the tape! What kind of scales do we got around here?"...

With that said, Welcome to the board!

Yes! Turn back now before it's too late!

I got mixed up in this "hobby" over a year ago and haven't been the same since....

Seriously though, this forum is the right place to get great tips and information regarding PM's and coinage, no matter what kind you collect.

I may need to get another box or 2 of pennies....it's been awhile since I've sorted any of those. Too busy stackin' the Silver Shiny! ;)
