Second question. Anyone ever calculate what a large lot of junk silver went for vs face value. Are those lots way overbid as well? It seems most of the talk in this thread is regarding single coins.

I dug up the receipt from the one auction I've been to.
This was in Oct. 2011
Not counting the nickels, I averaged 19.9 x fv. Spot was $31 at that time.
19 Morgans @ $21.85, $12.20 fv junk @ 16.9 x fv
I flipped the Morgans and bought my Ryedale
