I pulled the good stuff out of this old water pump and it has a significant amount of copper wire. Is it worth the time to go after the wire or is it better to just get the breakage price? I'm usually inclined to get the electric motor price but that copper looks so pretty!

I go ahead and cut it the rest of the way. But my yard pays real good for windings. so I would depend on how good yours pays.

Check the impeller in the volute to see if it is brass!
Pedal to the metal.
