Got another ATTRIBUTION problem

Postby uthminsta » Wed Mar 27, 2013 1:35 am

Guys, if you can figure this one out, you deserve legendary status or something. The local shop asked me to identify it, and said they thought it might be from Iran or Iraq? I scanned it in the 2x2 to give you an idea of its actual size.

But wait, look at it like this and it matches a little better. I haven't looked through all the images on the pages you linked yet, but at first glance, those "trees" from my coin become "pants" on the ones I looked at!!! So just flipping it and...

I have one or two of the Sassaassian coins. They are pretty cool!
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered....The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

Wow guys, I think we've got it. Amazing. There is info available out there for reading the date and mint mark, but it's not really possible to make it out on this specimen. I think what info we have here is more than enough. Thanks!!!!! How much do you think I should put on the price tag?
