Precious Metals Chess

Postby beauanderos » Sun Apr 14, 2013 11:44 am

Can a cadre of small investors have a real impact upon accelerating physical depletion of silver and gold? Or merely lead to scarcity of investible forms of it? Would, as we hope, expended finite stockpiles then lead to force majeure at COMEX and the end of gaming the system, leading to true price discovery?

I would say the answer is yes, but the speed is the question. For maximum impact the obvious time to strike would be when price is low. Regardless, over time the metal goes from weak hands to strong, as the stockpiles deplete.

Eventually shortages will arise. I think when they do, they will occur faster than anyone realizes. I tend to think that some smart investor, whether for good or evil I can't say, will jump in at the right time and grab as much physical as they can just before the shortages become commonly known.

I was expecting to see a chess set with gold and silver pieces. Maybe solid gold king/queen, partially gold plated knight, rook, and bishop, and sterling silver pawns. On a copper board. Maybe alternating copper/nickels squares.
267,500 pennies and 186,000 nickels searched. Hand sorter.

I don't care how long the game takes, I just desperately don't want those scum bankers to win this one! They always win! Even when they knock the pieces off the table they still win!!!!
