Tried a few coins, and not looking good.....

ASE test with an ASE works.
ASE test with an Ike Dollar failed. The app thought the ike was an ASE.
I accidentally rapped the table with my fingers while switching coins, and the app thought I had pinged an ASE.

Maybe i'm doing it wrong.

The secret is to put it in your thumb as demo'd in the video and flick the coin. Great app.

This works great. Just tap it lightly with your fingernail.
Try it with some coins that are not eagles like halves. It works.
