Have a problem refining gold. Using Hcl/peroxide- pull the gold ith hcl/bleach. Then drop. Did ok stripping and disolving. But dropping the gold was the problem. I dropped a black powder and not much. When melted it was not gold. not sure what happened? any clues

You can head on over to goldrefiningforum.com and ask the chemists there, plenty of experts on exactly what your doing.

gold flake taken off processors and memory stuff like that. pentium pro processors. Military grade plating. I had a cup of flakes. Did 1000 processors and boxes of boards and cards. precipitant was SMB. Before dropping the solution was really gold in color. When smb added the solution turned black and dropped to the bottom. It was black. So we gathered and washed. dried on the oven and melted. Used flux and nothing but crud was produced. We should have had a quarter ounce or more.
