Why does this site exist?

http://cointrackers.com/coins/948/1997- ... n-quarter/

A 1997 D Washington quarter is not worth $1 in average circulated condition. If the values presented on this site were true, we could all be rich selling every coin we get from the bank for these supposed values. I have no idea why they make these ridiculous claims.
267,500 pennies and 186,000 nickels searched. Hand sorter.

Yeah, pretty worthless. Check out the wheat cent section: "poor condition" 1958 wheats are worth a minimum of .15¢

There are a lot of sites on the internet that aren't good, you have to just ignore them. :)

When I saw the title, I thought you were asking about *this* site. I.e. realcent. :)

Funny how it references a Denver minted coin, yet the photo is of a San Francisco minted proof. My 2012 edition of North American Coins and Prices does list the 1997 D quarter in MS-65 being worth $16. So the article may not be too far off.
