Any Deals Out There on .999% CA Nickels?

Postby camtender » Fri Jul 05, 2013 7:07 pm

I noticed that nickel has fallen so much that the 1981 and older CA Nickels are worth less than .07, maybe a good time to buy a bunch. Any deals out there?

I did not see anything for sale recently. Myself, I am only trading some of my .999 nickels for silver at a melt for melt ratio.

Cheers,

For nickel bullion, colonialacres has 5 pounds for $40 or so before shipping and tax ($8 per pound or works out to be 8 cents apiece)

http://www.colonialacres.com/products.p ... 24&ref=439 < Canada shipping only

RJcoins has a few circulated rolls of slight numismatic for $6 (15 cents each)

On a side note: Nickel bullion is taxed in Canada, but silver gold and platinum are not. Crazyness.

I just got a bunch for .07 shipped, but that was a one time Craigslist thing. From South Carolina of all places.

I was the only bidder on a $50 face bag on ebay...$86.24 shipped. The count was a tad light at $49.10, but the 1938 Georges made up for that 8-)

How's $150 face for $175 shipped?

Course, I didn't get them yet. It's one of those off-ebay deals.

Well, that deal sorta blew up. Seller claimed he figured it wrong...and asked if I was still interested what I wanted to pay.

I guess I don't blame him. After all, he didn't stand to make anything on the first quote. So we agreed on 7.5 cents shipped. I still got a deal, and he didn't have to ebay.
