Anyone Read any Good Prepping Novels?

Postby beauanderos » Wed Jul 10, 2013 4:18 pm

I'm trying to get my local library to pick up the Glen Tate series The Preparation. Looks like it would be good, but the review page

http://www.amazon.com/299-Days-The-Preparation-Volume/dp/0615680682/ref=pd_sim_b_12

points out enough negatives (cost of the individual books in a ten part series that appears to be one long novel chopped up) that I'd like to find out if anyone else has read this yet and would like to loan their novels into a forum library. Anyone have or have read this series? I'd toss in some silver, plus shipping, to obtain them and then return them to the owner when finished.

There's also another series written by Joe Nobody that look like they could be entertaining.

I've read One Second After (highly recommended) and Patriot (meh), I'm sure you guys could recommend others???

You're right. A bit pricey, even the Kindle versions. Too bad, they may be interesting.

Hope it's OK to link to another forum here. If so, read everything by Jerry Young (in post #3)

Lights Out by halfFast Is similar to "One second after"
I liked the ending better.
I have it as a .pdf from when it was freeware

I read this one, too. Very good. I think the free version needed some editing in places, but the continuity and message were excellent.

Do you have the entire book?
I have up to page 81 in .pdf and would like to get the rest.
