Box 84 (5th of 6 boxes)

1907 V nickel
1943P warnick
dateless buff
1991 Malta 5 cent (first of these ever)
2 cents and a clipped nickel (ugh, but I won't complain given the other finds)
misc 40-60
Pulled some more of the recent ones out for my new starter modern collection

It's a lot slower to sort when I'm looking for the better newer ones as well as the older ones.

It is a lot slower. I filled my newer folder up. Now when one catches my eye illl set it to the side and swap out when its better. How many v nickels have you found? I found one it bad shape at about my 20th box. Im at 33 boxes searched. Maybe i have another coming my way soon. I tear off the edge of any box i search and write what i found on it. I keep some boxes whole for storage though.

Thought it was third V but I only have one in my box so I must be thinking of something else. So it was the second that I can prove :). Guess I could go through all the posts to see what I recorded here, but I'm too lazy. One out of 40 boxes seems to be a rough idea of frequency for them.

By contrast I have about 30-35 buffs, so they seem to come in at about one out of every 2-3 boxes.

Warnicks are close to 1 per box average (though I get a combination of skunks and multiples to average that).

i had previously pulled out the odd-ball post-60 BU that caught my eye, so I had a few hole fillers or better versions, but this was the first time I had gone through these looking for post 1960s. The past 20 years aren't too tough, but the 80s start getting pretty worn, and good 60s and 70s are hard to come by. I don't quite have a full starting set, but except for 2009 I have all back to the mid-90s, and a pretty good start at mid-70s thru mid-90s. I even had 3-4 S mints set aside that I forgot I had pulled out from the earlier boxes.

Box 85

42P, 43P, 44P, 45D (77 to date)
dateless buff
1928 buff

Thus ends my best 6 box set ever: 11 warnicks, 6 buffs, and 1908 V. Makes up for some of the skunks!

Will be taking next week off from hunting as I take the wife on a four-day mini-vacation, so this was a good way to start the break and keep me mentally in the game! :)

A week and a half without and I'm feeling a bit of withdrawal. :) Hope to pick up a couple of boxes tomorrow to re-start.

+1 It is about the same for me. Max 2 weeks, but then I doubled my pace to 2-boxes per week.

Great score!

back into it with two more boxes picked up on the fly, since I didn't put in my regular order for the week. Decent results:

Boxes 86-87

1944P warnick
mostly illegible buff (maybe 1936)
usual 39-60 coins

Notable:
a 2013 canadian
a cent
a 2013D (I was missing this)
a AU 1964 (better than what I had)
a AU 1962 (better than what I had)
a MS 1956 (better than what I had)

Still haven't seen any 2009s, though I wasn't looking very carefully for a long time.

Thanks for the info. I'll check tonight if I have any. I found, probably a dozen of them in the 160+ boxes that I have searched.

Cheers,
