By me you can turn in your wire with ends on it if it is a normal plug. I pull or cut off the brass and put it with my other brass. As for the other ends like rca, cable ends other misc ends I cut off and throw in with my dirty brass. Just got .60 a pound for dirty brass much better than mixing them in with my steel... ;)

Some places will also buy cut plugs as "copper bearing" scrap.

Clean yellow brass is $2.10
