'Bout time I found one in the wild this year. 1904!

Also found my first Indian chief Urraca Panama penny, 1996. Heard they were not uncommon but, It took me several years to fine it. Tougher than Indian Heads to find.

Oh, it looks good on you though.

I sort a lot of coin, all by hand. Mostly dimes now, with occasional nickel and halfs, and just a few pennies on the side. I quit on pennies because they just take so long for me to go thru. I did find 2 IH's before I largely gave up on pennies. From hand sorting, I have about $1000 in copper pennies, which means, if the copper was 20%, I must have hand sorted about 500,000 pennies

My question, are you all primarily hand-sorting? I am pretty sure Mr. H.S. Medford is a dedicated hand sorter. But are the rest of you finding these IH's by hand sorting, or is anyone producing IH's from Rydale or other automated means?

thanks.

My 11th tribe member overall, 2nd 1901.

To answer Rainsonme's question, I personally Ryedale sort. The Indians are found with a quick sift through the zinc pile, I have yet to find an Indian on the copper side.
