Magnetic JFK

What's up with this? It doesn't appear to be a magician's prop.

I should add it was stuck to the coin counter magnet.

Are these fake magician coins?

I don't have a scale; and, Joe...you might be right about it being a prop, but it seems to be higher quality if it is one. I'll get some more pics posted.

Is that a penny stuck to it? Some how the copper must attract copper in a magnetic way.

That was some foreign coin stuck to it, not a penny.

That's very bizarre... it's not even a silver year... next they'll be counterfeiting zinc cents...
267,500 pennies and 186,000 nickels searched. Hand sorter.

I have a theory. All metals including copper and nickel have magnet proprieties, and to activate them you would just need to rub a magnet over it in the same direction over and over that would make all the electrons point in the same direction which would make it magnet, I have never done this on a coin but I have done it on other things. The way to tell is take another magnet and point one end at the coin, if it sticks then flip it over to the other end. One if the ends should push the coin away. If that happens then I can tell you how to make it not a magnet.

On one section of the rim it does look like the coin was split. Pretty good job. I guess a magnet was inserted after all.
