I've never paid up for an expensive ratchet, but have an old Stanley swivel head with a bend in the handle that I'd be REALLY sad to lose. It's gotten me out of some tough situations over the years...and it's probably my favorite tool in the box. Second up would be the grip specific Estwing claw hammer that swings like none other.

Something about a "great" tool just makes you glad to have the chance to use it...and I just hope future generations can appreciate them as much as I did.

It really helps when you find big chunks of metal. Two pieces alone added up to 8 lbs of steel.

1 lb 5 oz pop cans
13 lb 14 oz steel
6 oz tire weights
1 lb 2 oz copper/brass (a brass sink stopper and a roll of wire)

1 dime
2 pennies

34 lb 13 oz pop cans
34 lb 10 oz wheel weights

28 golf balls
Pedal to the metal.

Thanks and I'll hopefully post something tomorrow!

I was working in California last week. Spied a broken ratchet tie down strap on the road
and grabbed it, but it does not count for a bike find!
