Hunting for dimes

Postby GGerrands » Wed Oct 09, 2013 1:40 pm

Got a new set of 4 boxes of dimes today. Opened the first box and saw 14 rolls of CWR's. Usually on machine-wrapped I'll just cut them open without counting them, but I decided to check the CWR's to see if they were short.

5 rolls in, I see a '62 in the mix. I pull it out, but that roll still has 50 dimes left in it. That works for me, a $5.10 roll of dimes, with the 51st being silver.

2 boxes down, and 3 silvaarrs so far. I did find a lincoln penny whittled down to the diameter of a dime, so I guess that makes me even on the bonus dime from earlier!

Tru dat ted. Out of $1000, I got 7 Au Ag and one penny. I can live with that!
Now time for some Who dat tomorrow!

--edit: I did mean silver. I used to keep them straight not by thinking of "Argentum" (which would be too easy), but by imagining if someone took one's silver one'd say, "Hey gee..." and if someone took one's gold one'd say, "Hey YOU!".
