Bummer on the box getting torn open.

I love that tape you used. Expensive but you need a box cutter or knife to cut it open.

So, someone in the USPS circuit probably had a hand in purposely opening the parcel?

NDFarmer wrote:I agree with Chris. Whether you are shipping a SFRB or MFRB you have to cover the boxes with tape in all directions. Here is what the MFRB looks like when I ship it.
NDFarmer wrote:This is what I have been using lately. Yes good strapping tape is expensive. But if you want your boxes and the contents of your boxes to make it you can not go sparingly with the tape when you send out your boxes. Here is what I have been using lately and it is $5.00 per roll which is the cheapest I have found. If any one else is buying it cheaper please let us know where you are getting it.

NDFarmer wrote:Yes you probably can find cheaper tape but you have to watch the tensile strength. Obviously the higher the tensile strength the better the tape. Yes 170 lb tensile strength is pretty good. It has been working for me.
Another thing I do to keep the edges of the strapping tape from rolling up during shipping is after I cover the box with strapping tape I cover it again with clear packing tape.
