Some folks over at Reddit "have fun" with a seller of an Old Man Silver Round asking for 5 times melt. Some of the results are.......well....

Never heard of it before. Can you believe NGC is grading these things and people are paying $150 for them?

I'd pay spot for it, and look to sell it quickly.

I'd pay the spot, the whole spot and nothing but the spot. Has this world gone mad? I guess I know the answer to my own question.

Nothing, I see what they are asking, and I would never pay that. The only upside to all this new lower mintage generic stuff is that you know it's not counterfeit now, probably won't be in the future, but then it's to late, you over paid, and later people will look at it and go - what's that?

I would throw a spot price at it and throw it up on ebay for a quick profit. They have a big following.

I wouldn't pay much more than what a generic round is worth.

I'd go up to three battle toads if the round was nice enough.

Just to be clear there not grading them.
I have a NGC Lydian mint Lion rounds that very cool. its from 2009(I only paid a bit over spot won it in a KSA right here at RC) 8-) 8-)
I think if you give NGC enough money they will encapsulate just about anything.

from that link. and there going for $95  :shifty:

"Gold & Silver Pawn Shop has joined NGC to present a signature series medallion. The Old Man's 71st Birthday Medallion has been encapsulated in a NGC EdgeView Holder with a custom label that has been autographed by The Old Man in metallic Sharpie"

So are you paying $75 for the Signature and $20 for the silver?? :P :P :P
