*Official March 2014 Half Dollars and Other Coins

Postby Country » Fri Feb 28, 2014 5:20 pm

Hello Fellow SILVER treasure hunters:

In March 2014, please post your finds right here.

HIGHLIGHTS OF FEBRUARY'S SILVER SEARCHING:

LOOKING FOR A DEDICATED INDIVIDUAL TO CARRY THE SILVER STATS IN 2014. I WILL HELP YA' GET SET UP, BUT IT'S A BIT MUCH FOR ME THESE DAYS. SEND ME A PM, IF INTERESTED. (I WILL CONTINUE TO MAINTAIN THE COPPER STATS.) IF NOT, EVEN WITHOUT THE STATS, I WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE THE MONTHLY THREAD FOR ALL TO POST.

COMING SOON!!

It's important to post your SKUNKS as well as your great SILVER finds. That keeps the statistics honest. I'll try to post some graphs of our SILVER finds as 2013 proceeds along by adding data to this initial post. I'll see if I can post some interesting insights into the data here in this initial post for 2013 too. Even though this is a national tabulation of all our finds, I think its fun to know what finds are being made and at what frequentcy.

It might be interesting to see how many Barbers, Walkers, Franklins, and 90% Kennedys are found too. Also, how many Barbers and Mercurys dimes we find. I'll try to keep track of all of these.

Now, go out and find that SILVER treasure!!

Those of you who are considering becoming RealCent members - Why not join today and stake your SILVER claims right here? Compete with other members in the race to see who is the best SILVER hunter.

Statistical data includes all posts March 01, 2014 mid-night forum time and later.

From Loomis

$1500 bwr halves
Box 1 1968
Box 2 skunk
Box 3 skunk

$250 bwr dimes skunk

$280 bwr quarters skunk

First post and first time coin roll Hunting. Was fun, after 2+ years of looking at every coin I get I finally found my first silver!!!

I have been trolling the forums as a guest for a long time. I dont think I Will order boxes anymore. It seems lik cwrs are the ticket. What are your thoughts?

I have read a lot of mixed threads about Loomis, Brinks...etc sorting out all of the silver. Is it worth it to order from them still?

My thoughts on CWRs......

I've been sticking with dimes and for the last couple of years and my averages are approximately one in every $170.

I particularly am fond of supermarket banks on the theory that people who are hard up will roll piggy banks,
take them to the supermarket banks and the immediately buy food with the cash. But, numbers are the game.
The more you can get the better the odds. I figure that hit for hit the dimes offer ten chances per dollar
instead of just four for quarters or two for halves. Though the weight is less it is offset by the likelihood of scoring
something.
