I have got some stripped copper wire that checks 55 thousanths with dial calipers, would that be no.1?What about the yokes in tvs and computers, what would that be and the wire that comes off the ferrite.Been hoarding, just wanted some help before i went down to the scrap yard.

Each yard is different but good clean wire at mine they give me bare bright, generlly 20 to 30 cent over #1

the yokes in monitors I get enamal wire, same as motor windings pays around #2 price sometime better then and sometimes less than.
