I gotta get back in the game.

Couple years ago my goal was to make enough to buy a new car. That goal was reached in March (not new new, but clean pre-owned). So now I have a sweet, high mpg Kia that even has a reverse gear (try driving 2 years without backing up)...but I lost my mojo for bank robbing.

Until this past Sat. First bank gave up a 1962 quarter, next branch two silver dimes. Altogether 9 stops and somewhere around $18 CA and maybe $3 US. Plus a third silver Roosie.

I just need a new goal to get me motivated.

Stroke o luck on timing. Waited on a giant dump from a business to clear out and for the trouble I netted $5.80. Plus some old UK coin and a couple of steel cents.

Today I got $16.18 CA, $4.68 US, 2 silver Roosies & 1 '41 Merc.

Fabulous haul! How many branches do you hit for that? I'm down to one practically speaking. Of the three branches in my travels one is too out of the way for common use and another has just gotten to be too painful (and the yields there were rarely worthwhile). A brand new branch has built penny into the wall and made it impossible to get to the magnet.

That's 10 stops. I cut out 5 or 6 others from the routine because of low yields, distance, general unfriendliness, or some combination of the three. I drive right past one of them only because service is painfully slow on weekends, and TD shortened their Sat/Sun hours. It's 8-2 on Sat, and 11-3 Sun. I generally don't get going til about 11. Can't waste time standing in line for 20 minutes to cash out 30 bucks.

I can do the 10 stops in 2 1/2 hours; mileage maybe 28 start to finish. Alternately buying quarters and dimes as I go, edge sorting in the car for silver.
