1930 Canadian Penny (nice looking too) fell in the dump side as I was going through the last bin of Canadian pennies I have left to sort. Saved from the penny melter at the last minute literally. I think that makes 5 George V's pennies found in the wild for me in all time.

Open a box of Nickels I picked up, dumped the first roll into the bin for Ryedale sorted and a 1932 just popped out!

Bought a haul of 281.5# of Canadian pre-82 nickels, so about 28,150 coins, with no war nickels. Of this total, there were 255 George V nickels. No 1925 or 26 coins, but an XF/AU 1922 with some lustre. So the George V's were 0.9% of the total lot.

NOTE: ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- often
substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) and selling short as well.

Wow. Nice haul. I certainly wouldn't say you NEED to sort them... but I bet a few of us would enjoy knowing more about what you came across.

Ok uthminsta, here you go- I'm revising the total from 255 to 261-- the breakdown is as follows:

1922 23 (incl. 4 in VF-AU)
1923 18 (incl. 1 in VF-AU)
1924 10 (incl. 1 holed- ouch)
1925 0
1926 0
1927 17 (incl. 2 in VF-AU)
1928 21
1929 28 (incl. 1 in VF-AU)
1930 19 (incl. 1 in VF-AU)
1931 28 (incl. 2 in VF-AU)
1932 23
1933 19
1934 10
1935 24 (incl. 4 in VF-AU)
1936 21

There you go! Done for now...

Found a 1932 Canadian cent this morning. George is looking very spry for his age - only a little of the green crud near the rim on both sides - otherwise, all lines, letters, etc are very sharp.

1st one of these I've found.

A 1933 king cent appeared to us today, the second George V to cross our path from the north. The first was a 1929 cent back last September.

Our oddity cents now include 1 blank Zn planchet, 2 Geo V, 2 Steel, 4 Indian Heads, and 6 Wide AM (all 1998).

Not a lot of postings in this thread.

Got a very clean AU - 1933 George V 5 cent piece off the TD magnet today.

Found a 1921 George V cent in a bank roll today. It is the third in the series discovered, and the oldest.
