I'm thinking about throwing out the first "pitch" and offering up one of the US Mint Baseball coins (silver).....

I'm really on the fence about it too, but perhaps if folks here can persuade me, I't might just be listed.

Interest? :o

I would like to see the last bid extend the auction by 5 minutes to eliminate sniping and last minute only bidding. people dont bid all day until the last second. This is not in the spirit of real cent auctions. I dont want to bid any more due to this occurring.

I also think there should be auction extentions due to last minute sniping, but unfortunately the way the rules are set up it doesn't allow for it.

Anybody can run rolling stop auctions in the auction section any time they want.

I don't think rolling stops would work well for the KSAs. There are too many simultaneous auctions and they would cross into the next (and possibly next and next and next) time slot. Sniping has always been part of the KSA drama

Historically the KSAs have always been slow in the summer months. Any given weekend there are probably a handful of active members traveling and unable to particiapte, and outdoor chores and activities eat into KSA prep/bid/ship time. If you are complaining that there isn't enough to bid on, then consider listing a few items of your own to get things going. If you are complaining that there aren't enough bids being placed or things are going too cheap, then bid higher and more often yourself.

I'll be around to participate in this one. I will try to get some stuff together to auction off and will get the old sniper rifle out of the closet again.
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered....The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

I still hate sniping. It makes the price go down. Nobody bids except the last 2 minutes. Very discouraging.
