When there are steep nickel price drops, do CA 99% fall too?

In other words, can you find deals on the CA nickels when the paper price falls like right now?

I never found that to be the case. CA nickels hold their premiums better than Morgan dollars.

I find its a matter of availability mostly.

Living in one of the larger Canadian cities (Calgary, over 1 million people) there really is only one place in town where I can "just ask" for 20+ pounds of pre-81 nickels and have it not seem like a weird request.

But he does try to adhere somewhat to spot if he has too many. If he has too few, he simply doesn't sell.
