Not anytime soon, but it could be a first baby step.

The Chinese must have a problem with Alibaba not what Alibaba does.

If the Chinese gave a rip about counterfeits they would shut down the factories that produce the fakes and hang their operators, problem solved.
Nobody would notice.

There is probably a political problem with Alibaba and now they are to big and important to handle it quietly.
