Don't forget the saying- one day does not a trend make. The problem with this is that the same thing could happen five days in a row and it still wouldn't really be that significant. In other words, silver is a long ways from a significant breakout. Even if you did see a big move on silver (or gold for that matter), I'd want to make sure the breakout was accompanied by high volume. During the traditional summer doldrums, that is even more difficult to achieve. For gold and silver you can check volumes for GLD and SLV on the stock markets. It would be nice if volumes were at least 50% more than average.
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).
NOTE: ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- often
substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) and selling short as well.
