I don't really consider nuclear arms to be a concern. I don't think either side wants a world where life struggles to survive. Nuclear weapons were used before as a showcase, and now it's a bargaining chip. Plus there are the conferences from CNN I've seen with former AF officials stating an unknown source overrode their ability to communicate with their nuclear systems a few years back, which could be both a good or bad thing actually.
