America is addicted to plastic - Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and debit cards. Now plastic is even showing up in coin rolls and bags.

Plastic coins are used for play money, in education, and to train bank tellers and store clerks. Sometimes they get into the wild and circulate as money. Plastic pennies sell for more then copper pennies(about 5 cents when bought in bulk), plus they melt easier

I got a plastic dime in a clear plastic bank wrapped roll last night, too bad it wasn't a real dime!

found four of them three in a nickle bag and one in a pennie bag

last nights was a c d penny, with four stars for the 'date'.

I found a plastic dime in a roll of pennies, it took up the space of 2 pennies.

it was the thick type of plastic dime you buy at Dollar Tree, a bag of all size coins

Wow Canadian plastic pennies. Seems like they would cost more to make than steel. Based on the shape and queen's head that is an older plastic penny too.

Found my first plastic penny of the year...came out of a String box.

Was not really coin roll hunting today but spotted a Canadian styled "School Money" 25 cent coin in a shopping mall pond. I fished it out for my plastic money collection and to prevent it heading to someone's rolled coin.

Found a 1991 COPY plastic Lincoln cent in my rydale... kinda jammed things up for a minute...
