What happened today with Gold Mining stocks? I have a position in THM (Turning Hill Mines) and it exploded today after being down for about a year.

Ahhh, my "the world is going to shat" investments of gold mining stocks is doing exactly what they were obtained for. Very glad I read Howard Ruff's 1978 book How to Prosper During the Coming Bad Years (and all the rest he has written since) when I was 21 and started stacking mutual fund shares at the time. Doing exactly what I've done with PMs, buy on the dips, buying more when hemorrhaging. Holding, scaling way back, or being very selective when the price goes up. It's been a loooooooong buy down.

My conventional investment advisor assures me my asset allocation is over loaded and possibly thinks I'm a wack job. Except, my world is going to shat investments beat all his out this quarter. But, I've been behind the 8 ball for about the last 5 years. Accumulating, stacking, ever patiently, thinking long term.
