i tried out ''smashed can'' recycling for there .45 plastic.... one nice thing,.. their scale reads to the .1 lb... so none of the two pound increment of other places. no minimum to get the price , so you could take in one bag--5lb and get the premium.

then took 112 lb of plastic to my regular place. since i can get away with some non crv. and the fact of putting it in a large bag, retains the caps too.

ok, the smashed can -place will pay a premium on bottles that you squish the air out of , and put the cap back on. .50/lb ie, they do not have a 'baler' and are just putting stuff in 55 gallon plastic bags.

17 different items almost $84. Some things it makes no sense why they give me nothing for 5 hard drives which is cast aluminum, I get 10 cents for, pounds of aluminum I get 10 cents for?!? Also, the power supplies.. Also, he screwed up on the circuit boards, the other guy who does them never gives me anything for them. Over all, with the screw ups I made out good. I don't understand why Cd roms are worth more than hard drives either. Really, some of this stuff needs to go to one place, and the rest another place which is across town. I throw allot of iron in the landfill, nowhere to pile it, as it is most of the aluminum came to me last weekend and filled up the back of the truck.
