Gold has essentially recovered. Silver trying but more slowly. But the 21 handle on silver was a spike of exuberance so "recovery" is really to the neighborhood of 20.3.

No doubt about it. After the criminals come back from the Hamptons, this is bound to happen. $18 by the end of this week would not surprise me at all.

I feel sorry for the emotional types who buy at the top of these spikes. This seems to be the norm on the Silver Doctors forum.

Yes, I believe in accumulating regularly, but buying on large dips feels much better than buying when/after it spikes up.

due respect and I emphasize due respect, this market action is the healthiest trade that could happen for a really robust and sustained move to the upside. (and yes, we ALL know the machinations that are foisted upon the "board", but many of those that try to "paint the tape" are going to be given a REAL education, how you can't "game gravity" forever, sooner than later, the immutable laws of supply and demand WILL take over, and the market will go to its TRUE value. the more and more "painting" goes on, is like a rocket engine being filled with more and more LOX...liquid oxygen, not the bagel and cream cheese kind)

I would be MORE concerned, on a long term basis if say, we were doing another $1 to $2 zip to the upside today, i'd rather see 6 of 10 trading days with a 10 to 30 cent up day, and the other 4 days with a 10-15 cent down day.......yeh, it might be "boring"....so what. if we want excitement and entertainment, we can always pony up ten bucks for Netflix streaming.

I get "excited" by seeing a healthy bull tech pattern developing into the inevitable bull move that WILL punch thru $50, then the "LOX" kicks in, and zips the market up to a area between $75-100.....and then since the even "Hondo" ($100) area is a massive psychological barrier, which will be a true battleground. (and that might include the tp, that should NOT be, will start squawking about the inevitable 50% "windfall tax" on all sales of Ag...watch)....once we punch thru a $100.....the first REAL stop will be the $130-140 area, which is the 2016 value of the Hunt bro's high of $50, back in the day.

naw, todays action is good and healthy, and woe to those foolish enough to try and muscle Ag thru $19...they will be going on their keisters...sooner than later, blessings, n

Silver poised to RIP this week.... but first they're gonna try to destroy sentiment going into the open tomorrow.

It's all a game. They set the rules.

Until they don't anymore 8-)

they can't it no mo, their efforts are growing ineffectual by the day.

they CAN still jimmy rig the USD futures.....so what> at 0530 BOTH Ag and the USD are trading higher......which is a recently new phenom.

Keep a sharp eye on the equity price of Deustche Bank and Credit Suisse, those issues are the canary in the coal mine.

be well OB.

Really demented, twisted, and sick that they're using the aftermath of the French tragedy as another opportunity to manipulate prices.

Well, as much as I'd like to call these moves a PM takedown, the evidence indicates its a general flight to safe havens, led by the USD (up 0.5%), and relative to that move the PMs have actually gone UP themselves as well, though with the greater strength in the USD (insane though that is) we see the PMs expressed in the USD as a slight decline.

Rich thoughts from Rich. Think globally and you begin to see the true dynamics of multiple intersecting valuation cycles. Think locally and you are only riding a unicyle.

Apparently a coup in.Turkey shifts the USD/pm balance more than a terrorist attack in France.

I suppose if you can't destroy sentiment with daily take downs...

Then you hammer the gold stocks instead! Absolutely nothing has changed in fundamentals, but "someone" shorted
the HELL out of the miners today.

Well the recent action within the last hour may actually be a manipulation smackdown of the type Ray refers in the op. I don't see any other obvious reason for it, though still looking. It was moving the opposite direction as the USD for most of the move, which makes little sense unless someone was long the USD and needed to dump gold to cover a call.
