I posted in the 2016 thread too, but I scored a 2016S Proof Kennedy half this week in a bank roll. An unexpected find for sure. Was in the Northwest corner of the lower 48.

I saw my first 2017 coin last night! I got a 2017-D Effigy Mounds quarter in my change at Wal Mart. Last year, the first 2016 I saw was on June 12th so I am a month ahead of last year.

2 days in a row! I'm on a roll! At the bank today I asked if they had any half dollars, one teller had $3.00 loose and another teller had $2.50 loose. Took a look and found 2 2017-P halves!

Dime... opps should have said that. The coin has been claimed already, but it was interesting to find one in Canada so soon.

Not a first to find, but I just got my first 2017-P cent here in Minnesota. Northern Twin Cities metro area. Someone out east must have come across a Frederick Douglass P quarter by now? Nobody has claimed it yet, I'm just sayin.

I found a US 2017D Dime (added) in Canada today.

JadeDragon finds a 2017-D dime in Canada on May 9th and I find my first 2017-D dime September 25th in Minnesota.

Thanks for posting everybody. So far we have 6 different people with a first to find. As usual I still havent seen a 2017 coin yet. I am hoping to do better than last year when I saw my first 2016 coin on June 12th. Speaking of 2016 coins, there are still a few open spots for first to find for quarters. Also no one has reported any 2016 Canadian coins yet.

I’m sure I’ve handled some 2016 Canadian coins. No one else is looking for Canadian which makes it a boring race against myself.
