Found 11 cents at a place where I wouldn't normally expect to find money, on the ground at the local scrapyard. And it wasn't near the cashier either. It was out near the piles of stuff that are scattered about the yard.

Last night- 12 cents (dime and two pennies) on the ground outside the entrance to the movie theater.

Today- 23 cents on the ground in front of a trash dumpster- a dime and 13 pennies.

Today- 10 cents in the change return part of a vending machine.

A dime inside of a shot chilling machine that I parted out and scrapped. It probably fell through one of the cracks at the top of the unit while being used in the bar.

It was a shame to junk this unit; it was only out of refrigerant and missing the light on top. It would have cost more to recharge it and replace the light than I could sell if for used.

Fortunately I only paid $10 for the unit. I'm already over $6.00 in scrap value, plus the dime. The parts I saved will sell for at least $40.

lhmm, my bad. the drunk gent infront of me at the store , buying his next 12 pack. dropped a dime. NORMALLY i would have given it back. as i picked it up , i saw it was a 1965 canadian. and i just know the drunkard had no idea what he had. so again. bad boy. i put it in my burnign pocket

About a cup worth of nickles and pennies mostly from a storage locker. Spent hundreds on trash costs on that locker, plus hundreds in unrecoverable Storage fees, so not really a win. I kept a few nickel nickels from the cup.

Found a box of loose change scavenging at the flea market. About $0.75 in a garbage pile dumped by a dealer.

Gave them to another vendor's kid for his piggy bank.

I never thought I'd see dealers there throwing away money. I've seen them toss almost everything else, but this was a first.
