Well, I stopped at a bank I had called ahead of time to pick up some halves, but found out I stopped at the wrong branch. (Two branches of the same bank in the same town) Asked the teller if they had any halves anyways. She says she can sell me $30 of the $50 BWR they had. Takes my c-note to get change and sets the 3 rolls on the counter. ON THE EDGE OF THE ROLLS ARE TWO WALKERS AND A BARBER
So teller comes back with my change, and before she says anything I say, "Ok, new plan. I NEED to buy your other two rolls also!" Lucky, I had a bunch of loose halves with me, so she traded me for the rolls instead of buying with cash. I went pheasant hunting for a while after that and didn't get home and around to opening them for a few hours. A few looong hours....
Enough story, onto the best $50 I will ever find.

I'll save you the math. That's 63 silver coins, 5 being 40%ers.
Keep searching, the wild ones are still out there!

Great, great score. Did you check for "D", "O" and "S" mint marks? For instance, your 1927 is actually a 1927-S, since that is the only mint that produced 1927 halves.
Also, you said you don't post your results every time you get silver. So does that mean that finding "only" 5 or 10 silver coins isn't worth posting on this site?

Haha that's the farthest from the truth Steve! I get excited when I pull one 40%er from a box!!..... I'm just really bad at keeping up with the posts. Maybe that will be a new years resolution....
So, to appease the recycler...I just finished a box of halves last night that fits into your criteria!

And I did check the mint marks. Here's what I got.

1935 D
1936 S
1939 D

1941 S & D
And a bunch of 1942 - 45 D
