I cleaned out my pickup truck today because I am dropping it off to get a new airbag, and wanted to make sure there was NOTHING of value in my truck while the repairs were being made. That way I dont need to worry that something was stolen. So anyhow I emptied everything out bumper to bumper including the change in the ashtray. For the first time in 20 years I found a silver quarter in the change from the ashtray. The last time I found silver quarters in pocket change was in the late 1990's. That doesnt count searching mint bags or coin counting machine bags, or anything I searched with the goal of finding silver...... this was just good old pure luck... 1964 Washington Quarter....... it probably came from the shopping cart deposit return from ALDI grocery store. Pretty Pumped!!!

$115 cwr dimes first roll,,, laying them out into my palm and i see a flash of a lady. .... 1942 lllllots later a 64 lastly a 2013 canadian,.

$50 in halves- got a 1976-S silver (40%) half.

The redbook says a bunch of these were melted in 1982. Does anyone know more about that or have a link with details?

I've had some luck getting silver in Loomis rolls over the years, but nothing spectacular.
