pretty cool - if i were still scrapping regularly it would be nice to get real money rather than "green board" price from the yard

This is more than the scrap yard pays, I'm holding onto all my electronic boards and power supplies from now on. Might be a tough play on shipping, but I think the more you ship the better. I did pretty good on a pile of RAM chips I sent in once. I'm still waiting for some friends to relinquish some old computers to me one of these days.

Yes I am starting to save them as well, beats the heck out of low grade circuit board prices. Just need to keep the info from the appliance with the board that you removed

An interesting business, but I handle actual tons of circuit boards plus I have access to almost unlimited amounts of these things and it would be a complete waste of time for me.

If I'm going to the time and trouble of carefully pulling and labeling a component, I'll sell it in my own eBay store where I can get many times what this site is paying out.

Chances are high that if an appliance is being scrapped, then there is a problem with one of the circuit boards. They are usually the part that is most prone to failure and most complicated to test.

For someone who has access to a lot of junk appliances this site could be a great way to sell cheaper parts in bulk.
