You ought to submit the article to Alec at Coinflation. There is a "submit article" link just below the articles. Thanks for sharing.

I got two greenlights for articles at coinflation. You will will beam with pride if it makes the front page.

I wish he would have it where readers could comment on the articles. Kinda like they have at http://www.Fark.com.

I always wish he had a place to comment on the articles, too. Oh well, maybe in the future.

Thanks, 68Camaro.

I used to read Whiskey & Gunpowder all the time. Then I canceled my subscription because W & G just became a shill for Agora Financial. Anyway, thanks again. Good read! :)

It has a few inaccuracies, like saying the nickel has been CuNi since 1946, when it was always CuNi before that too, except during the war nickels. It also says that 65-70 dimes and quarters were 40% silver, which is obviously wrong. And says "pre-83" pennies were 95% copper, and as we all know here at Realcent many 82s are zinc!

He took some flak over these from his bloggers and quickly made corrections to most - which are in the latest version... And not to pick nits, but the 46 nickel statement isn't really inaccurate, just incomplete.

Another inaccuracy is he made several statements that brass cent collectiing to now gone by the way-side. Only CuNi nickels are left. As we all know, there are still plenty of Cu pennies left to pick up... but they are gonna go fast!
